Stainless steel centrifugal pumps with stainless steel drive
The demands on the process industry in the food sector are moving closer and closer to the requirements for pharmaceutical and sterile technology. "Hygienic Design" is the basis for the design of these systems. Contamination risks must be further reduced so that the formation of bacterial nests can not occur.
To meet the needs of these applications, the stainless steel centrifugal pumps are equipped with stainless steel ribbed motors. Both components are made of stainless steel 1.4435 / AISI 316 L and have smooth surfaces. Thus, the entire pump unit can be cleaned with conventional or even without a problem with alkaline or acidic agents. The motors have the protection class IP67 as standard. The cable gland with protection class IP 69 K in the "Hygienic Design" ensures a robust and permanently sealed cable outlet.
The self-priming and standard-suction stainless steel centrifugal pumps as well as the peripheral wheel pumps made of stainless steel 1.4435 are used in the fields of pharmaceutical and sterile technology. In the field of pharmaceutical production, these pumps find their use e.g. In the clean room. In many cases, the inserts are exposed to agitators for the mechanical sealings or generally to forced circulation of the pressurized fluid. The surface roughness of the product-contacted parts of the pumps can vary in the range from Ra 0.8 μm to Ra 0.4 μm, depending on the customer's requirements. In addition, the dead-space-free stainless steel centrifugal pumps are characterized by their gentle conveying, simplicity in construction, reliability in operation and the very low life cycle costs.
