As a leading supplier of stainless steel pumps made of the material 316 L / 1.4435 for hygienic and sterile applications, SAWA Pumpentechnik AG has often been approached in recent years regarding the possibility of aseptic and dead-space-free emptying.
Our long-term Head of Technology, Roger Egger, has faced this challenge. SAWA Pumpentechnik AG is now able to offer an interesting solution. Developed in-house, the residual emptying valve is manufactured from the massive stainless steel block 1.4435 and can be installed directly on the pump body at our centrifugal pumps. The valve seat is sealed on the inside of the pump body by means of a rinsed O-ring which is arranged without dead space. Due to the nature of the design, the dead space between the pump and the residual emptying valve can be completely eliminated.
The valve block is available in a manual or automatic version. The latter version is controlled by compressed air and has the function ON / OFF.
The SAWA residual emptying valve guarantees a simple operation. The various O-ring qualities such as EPDM, FEP, FFKM and PTFE are available with all commercially available certificates. The surface roughness on the inside of the pump body can range from Ra ≤ 0.8 μm to Ra ≤ 0.4 μm, depending on the customer's requirements.
