How it all began ...
1911
Foundation of a mechanical workshop by Albert Schmidhauser Senior in Waldkirch. Execution of overhauls in the field of cheese-making and agricultural machinery.
1936
Patent application for a rotary vane pump.
1954
Takeover of the company by Albert Schmidhauser Junior. Development of in-house designs, mainly for the dairy and food industry (pumps, agitators, cheese presses, etc.).
1955
Development of the self-priming pump type HD with swing stopper.
1960
Development of heat transfer oil pumps for the plastics industry.
1975
Move into a new production hall at the company site in Waldkirch.
1979
Takeover of the Dickow and Kiesel pump sales agencies for Switzerland.
1981
Foundation of SAWA Pumpentechnik AG.
1984
1. Trade fair participation - Ilmac Basel
1987
Fredy Schmidhauser takes over the company. Company orientation as a specialist for conveying liquids.
1992
Participation in 1st international trade fair - DLG in Frankfurt
1998
Move to the business premises in Degersheim.
1999
Further development of the SAWA pumps types HD and ZA for pharmaceutical applications.
2004
Development of pumps for high system pressures up to PN 100 (especially for reverse osmosis processes).
2007
Expansion of the pump range with magnetically coupled pump types for hygienic applications.
2009
Takeover of the commercial agency for Lutz pumps in Switzerland.
2012
New development of the centrifugal pump type LE with flow-optimized volute casing geometry and high efficiency.
2014
Expansion of the LE pump series - with LES "self-priming centrifugal pump" and launch of the RE15 deadleg-free residual emptying valve
2015
Ives Schmidhauser (4th generation) takes over the management of the company
2016
Magnetically coupled centrifugal pump for high system pressures up to PN160, e.g. for hydrogen production and membrane filtration applications
