Farewell Roger Egger

Our longtime employee Roger Egger had his last day of work at SAWA Pumpentechnik AG and will enjoy his retirement in the future.

Roger worked for us as a technical manager for almost 21 years and was an important contact for customers, representatives and also internally. With his linguistic skills, Roger was able to make complex issues understandable even to people without a technical affinity.

Before joining SAWA, Roger was involved in major projects in Central and South America for many years at Sulzer AG. With his know-how, Roger had a major influence on the development of our pumps. Here are a few milestones that he realized with us:
- Centrifugal pump ZAL: with the so-called perforated impeller in single-stage design, the advantage over the multi-stage design was that the emptying of the pump was significantly simplified.
- Inducer: the use of an inducer, which slightly increases the pressure on the pump impeller and thus minimizes the risk of cavitation, also improved the suction performance.
- LE series: thanks to the flow-optimized volute casing design, we achieved high efficiencies of up to 75% and, with a stub shaft, it was now also possible to use standard motors.

Roger had a solution for almost all applications. "There's no such thing as impossible!" - That was his credo! We would like to thank Roger for the many years of exciting and good cooperation and wish him much joy, fun and the best of health for the future!
