Drum pumps

SAWA Pumpentechnik AG has been the general agency of the German company LUTZ Pumpen GmbH for the whole of Switzerland since 2008. LUTZ manufactures, among other things, barrel pumps, laboratory pumps, residual discharge pumps, mixing pumps and container pumps. The modular pumping stations of Lutz are offered by carefully matched material combinations (metallic: stainless steel, aluminium or Hastelloy, and plastic: PP or PVDF) for almost all cases where thin-bodied and light viscous media have to be pumped. Available in different immersion depths and with different motors (electric, pneumatic or even with battery), ATEX conform (Lutz drum pumps in explosion-proof design offer highest possible protection when handling highly flammable, combustible materials and in explosive environments. Lutz drum pumps meet all international standards and regulations and comply with the directives according to Atex 2014/34/EU and IEC Ex.) or in hygienic or PURE version: Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 compliant (safe for contact with food) as well as FDA approved. You have the choice, not only with regard to the shape of the impeller, because Lutz drum pumps are available in seal-less design or with mechanical seal.

Drum pumps for the following fluids

For explosive liquids e.g. acetone, conc. formic acid, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, conc. acetic acid, nicotine, toluene and styrene.
For concentrated acids and alkalis e.g. chloric acid, chromic acid, sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and sodium hypochlorite.
For thin-bodied media e.g. oil-based lubricants, cold cleaners as well as plasticizers, battery acid, ammonia water, photo developer/fixer, glycols, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide.
For highly flammable hydrocarbons e.g. ethanol, petrol, butanol, isopropanol, kerosene, methanol and petroleum.
For light viscous mineral oils e.g. diesel, heating oil, hydraulic oil, machine oil and motor oil.
For liquids in the food and cosmetics industry and pharmaceuticals: food oils, flavours, concentrates, etc..

Applications of the drum pumps

There is a suitable pump for every pumping medium, without compromise. Drum pumps made of polypropylene and PVDF are not affected by acids and alkalis. Aluminium pumps ensure that diesel and oils run like lubricants. Stainless steel is excellently suited for corrosive and neutral liquids - it has proven itself in the pharmaceutical and food industries. The extremely resistant Hastelloy C does not shy away from highly aggressive acids or alkalis.

Pump types of our drum pumps

Drum pump type LUTZ B2 Vario (made of stainless steel, PP or PVDF): Whenever chemicals, acids, alkalis or other hazardous liquids are to be filled or transferred, safety for people and the environment is of particular importance. This is especially true when filling small quantities. This gap is closed with the "Lutz B2 Vario". The infinitely variable speed controller with integrated on/off switch enables controlled and convenient transfer and filling of small and large quantities. (also available with battery motor)

Drum pump type LUTZ with PVDF pumping unit (polyvinylidene fluoride) for the highest chemical resistance, with electric motor MA II 3 (for fuming media or corrosive vapours, powerful, externally ventilated universal motor) or with pneumatic motor MD2xL (oil-free, 1000 Watt powerful air motor)for e.g. concentrated acids and alkalis.

Drum pump type LUTZ with pumping unit RE-Niro (stainless steel) for emptying drum residues of aqueous or greasy, neutral and aggressive, highly inflammable and non-flammable liquids. For various fields of application. Their technology guarantees maximum pumping of the liquid - down to the so-called " last drop": The remaining quantity is less than 0.10 l. Drum pump type LUTZ with mixing pumping unit MP (made of PP or stainless steel) combine the function of agitator and pump in one unit. They are specially designed for mixing and conveying food or chemicals that tend to sediment after a longer period of use and must be homogenized before processing. (e.g. emulsions, dispersions, or suspensions)
