Submersible pumps

Submersible pumps from SAWA can be used for various liquids in all areas of industry. They are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4435 / 316 L and are manufactured in a modular system.

Our submersible pumps are manufactured as centrifugal pumps for submersion depths from 0.3 m to max. 3 m. Their particular strength lies in the variety of possible applications. SAWA submersible pumps are also used for explosive liquids in EX zones 1 and 2.

The pump shaft is designed with one, two or three robust plain bearings, depending on the overall length. For flushing the bearings, the pumped liquid or, if not suitable, also foreign medium can be supplied. Depending on the pumped medium, hard carbon bearings or SSiC bearings are installed. Up to an immersion depth of approx. 600 mm, submersible pumps without bearings can also be used. This design is often used for abrasive media, e.g. milk of lime or waste water with sand content, etc.

Submersible pumps for the following fluids

  • Chemicals
  • Milk of lime
  • solvents
  • Textile waste water with fiber and thread content, pump with textile impeller
  • Salt water solutions
  • Sugar solutions
  • Bulkhead
  • Contaminated, solids-laden waste water

Applications of the submersible pumps

  • Use in neutralisation plants
  • Pumping out of various liquid basins
  • Collecting basin for hot media
  • Applications in the electroplating industry

Features of the submersible pumps

  • Robust and generously dimensioned plain bearings made of hard carbon or SSiC
  • High-quality material 1.4435 / 316 L
  • Clog-free conveying
  • Simple modular design
  • long service life, low life cycle costs
  • for viscous media up to approx. 200 mPas
  • Maximum reliability even with abrasive fluids
  • Design always tailored to customer requirements

Pump types of our submersible pumps

Submersible pumps type LET are manufactured according to the customer's requirements and are thus available in a variety of designs. The construction length depends on the customer's requirements and is available up to a length of 3m immersion depth. From a length of approx. 1200 mm, the three-phase motor is mounted on the bearing flange by means of a coupling.

Our submersible pump is especially suitable for chemicals, solvents, alcohols, industrial waste water. In CIP collection tanks, the operating temperature can often be up to approx. 60 °C. In many cases, solids such as seals, ballpoint pens, small parts such as screws and nuts are also present in the pumped media.

The robust design, the tangential outlet of the discharge nozzle and the semi-open impeller prevent clogging of the pump body. For the highest demands on robustness, such as in galvanizing or anodizing plants, where these pumps are lowered into basins by crane, a protective cage can be built around the motor. This prevents the electric motor from being damaged by swinging back and forth.

Versions with mounting flange, pumping unit and outlet with socket or flange and also pressure pipe or versions with dome cover incl. the attachment for lifting or lowering are of course available.
