Low flow rate, high pressure, no pulsation—does that sound like a contradiction? For the MP peripheral impeller pump, this is everyday operating reality.
Technically speaking, the MP is a regenerative centrifugal pump in which the impeller rotates in a concentric peripheral channel. The repeated energy transfer between the impeller and the fluid creates a characteristic performance curve that enables comparatively high discharge pressures at low flow rates. This feature is particularly advantageous in applications requiring precise metering, such as in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as when pumping concentrated or hazardous fluids.
Thanks to its excellent controllability via a variable-frequency drive, the MP can be finely adjusted to different operating conditions. The magnetically coupled design hermetically seals off the motor from the pump chamber, structurally preventing leaks. The symmetrical design also allows for reversible operation in either clockwise or counterclockwise rotation, thereby increasing flexibility in system planning.
As shown in the figure, the MP is available in various models. Each variant is designed for specific pumping tasks and operating conditions.
