SAWA blood plasma and blood pumps are manufactured from steel bars 1.4435 and investment casting 316 L. We process other stainless steel materials of the qualities 1.4410, 1.4539, 1.4460 or Hastelloy and titanium which are used for blood plasma or in the pharmaceutical industry.
SAWA centrifugal pumps have a gentle, quiet, efficient delivery behaviour and guarantee absolute hygiene and process reliability. The dead space free design meets the EHEDG guidelines and their requirements for CIP / SIP cleaning. The robust design of SAWA stainless steel pumps and the bolted housing construction are suitable for use at high temperatures and provide a very high level of operational safety. A mechanical seal can be replaced quickly and easily without the need for special tools. The centrifugal pump series of types LE, LEP as well as ZA, ZAL, ZAP are designed with a standard IEC motor and stub shaft, but are also available in bearing bracket design. In the version with inducer, the pumps are ideal for use in systems with low NPSHa values. SAWA pumps are the ideal choice when centrifugal pumps are required to operate in absolute sterility.

Thanks to the flow-optimised pump housing and the perfectly matched impeller geometry, gentle pumping of blood and blood plasma is ensured. Electropolished surface qualities of up to Ra < 0.4 µm can be verified by a measuring protocol. The required documentation with measuring protocol and certificates are available in digital and/or paper form.
