High pressure centrifugal pumps

Robust SAWA high-pressure centrifugal pumps are ideal for high system pressures and are used in reverse osmosis systems up to a nominal pressure of PN25 or PN160. The material used, 1.4435 /316 L, is also suitable for pumping highly concentrated solutions, alkalis and certain acids, which may also be corrosive. The robust design and the bolted housing construction guarantee the user the highest operational safety at system pressures of up to 160 bar, which are often generated with piston pumps. Especially suitable mechanical seals are installed in SAWA high-pressure centrifugal pumps. If absolute safety with regard to environmentally hazardous liquids must be guaranteed, the high-pressure centrifugal pumps are designed with a magnetic coupling and are therefore hermetically sealed and also approved for ATEX applications. The simple design of SAWA high-pressure centrifugal pumps guarantees rapid replacement of the mechanical seal and consequently short maintenance times. Thanks to their hygienic design, SAWA high-pressure centrifugal pumps can be used in all branches of the hygiene industry, whether in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical or chemical industries.

Pump types of our high pressure centrifugal pumps

High-pressure centrifugal pumps of the type HD are self-priming and have a pumping speed of up to 7mWS depending on the size. By changing the direction of rotation, this high-pressure pump can also be used for backwashing the diaphragm. A second backwash pump, which is often required, is therefore not necessary.

SAWA manufactures high-pressure centrifugal pumps of the LEH series in the normal-priming versions with flow rates from 1000 l/h to 150 m3/h. Depending on requirements, the high-pressure pumps can be manufactured for nominal pressures of PN25, 40, 64, 100, 120 up to PN160. The flow-optimised coordination of the volute casing with the impeller geometry enables gentle pumping and maximum efficiency, i.e. efficiencies of up to 78 %.

High pressure centrifugal pumps of the type MP-R are especially suitable as high pressure pumps up to PN64. This high-pressure peripheral wheel pump is suitable for small flow rates and higher pressures up to a delta p of max. 10 bar. The pulsation-free delivery of liquids is highly appreciated in injection systems, dosing systems and spray towers. Thanks to its symmetrical design, the high-pressure peripheral wheel pump can be used for both left-hand and/or right-hand rotation.
